Disaster Communications Recovery Unit

 

Working closely with Sussex Ambulance Service, Terrafix has developed The Disaster Communications Recovery Unit.

The unit comprises a unique combination of voice and data communications with portable mapping and messaging facilities.

The flexibility of the system ensures that in the event of a major incident, i.e. fire or bomb at the control centre, the user can continue to operate sending messages and monitoring the fleet of vehicles with minimal disruption.

 

The Disaster Communications Recovery Unit provides the following features:-

Multiple mobile Terrafix Automatic Vehicle Location Systems

Portable command and control centre

Monitoring of vehicles when user is on the move

Transmission of messages to vehicles

Two-way messaging with fixed control centre

Two-way messaging with other portable applications

Data comms using RAM, PAKNET, GSM or VHF

Voice comms using VHF, UHF or GSM

Used by any fleet provider, e.g. police, council, ambulance etc.

Takes the control room into any environment
