Mobile Data Terminal

The Terrafix Mobile Data Terminal (MDT), is a reliable and robust unit housed in a single case with the display fitted immediately above a 40 key keypad. Ten additional keys are provided above the display, which are programmed for status reporting and other controls.

The display has a high visibility, vacuum fluorescent screen of size 100 x 30 mm with characters 5mm high which shows 4 lines of 20 characters.

The Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) provides the following features:

transmission and reception of free text messages

status and pre-coded message transmission

entry of report forms such as clinical audit

access to databases, e.g. standby points

display of vehicle position to driver

display of time and date

operation in harsh environments

The MDT can be supplied either as an integral part of the Terrafix and Mobile Data system or can be added to the Terrafix AVL tracking system as an upgrade.
