GSM
| GSM communications can be used with all of Terrafix's Mobile Data products using a
suitable GSM modem. The Terrafix Data Logger uses a PC card GSM modem and other
applications currently use a Siemens M20 modem. These provide both data and voice
facilities as required by the application. The most basic tracking unit makes use of the
Terrafix Micro GPS connected directly to an M20 modem. The base station operates with either a fixed GSM modem or normal telephone link as appropriate to the application.
