The Terrafix Interface Unit can use GPRS as its data carrier. GRPS allows the users to update their vehicle positions at pre-defined rates under all operational conditions.

Unlike GSM, a GPRS connection is only used when data is flowing.

GPRS calls are not charged according to their duration, so there's no extra cost for being constantly connected.
