South East Coast Ambulance
South East Coast Ambulance Service operates over three areas, Sussex, Surrey and Kent.
Sussex Ambulance Service and Terrafix have worked together since 1998. Terrafix have provided Sussex with their Mobile Data and Automatic Vehicle Location System, utilising the Transcom network. Initially the emergency vehicles were fitted with the Terrafix TDT 2000, a robust keypad that provided full two-way messaging and statuses.
In 2009 South East Coast AS chose Terrafix to provide them will a complete Mobile Data and Automatic Vehicle Location System using the GPRS network for mobile data with Airwave as back up. All emergency vehicles will be fitted with TVC 3000, providing full colour touch screen technology with advanced software functionality, including satellite guidance and navigation.
The introduction of Terrafix across the whole of the South East Coast Service enables them to manage their resources more efficiently and effectively.
