Terrafix Limited is an UK company, with its headquarters based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.  Housed within over 2,500 square metres it employs over 70 experienced professional engineers and staff, to work on the development of product and system design.

The teams of engineers are supported by comprehensive prototype manufacture, test and installation facilities. Within the team are engineers who are well experienced in full turn key installations at control and radio sites and in a diverse range of vehicle installations including cars, emergency service vehicles and motorcycles (on road and off).  

Terrafix Policies

 

The Company Policy is to remain at the forefront of mobile computing and communication systems and to continue development in advanced application technology.  Terrafix have provided systems to customers in the civil, emergency, military and specialist government agencies in the UK and overseas.

At the Staffordshire headquarters experienced software and hardware engineers develop the technology to take the systems into the next millennium.  Every care is taken by Terrafix to ensure that the quality of the products exceeds the customers’ requirements.  The Company’s Quality Policy Statement is:

Terrafix: History

 

Terrafix Limited was founded in 1983, with the aim of researching and developing navigation sensors for use in land mobile vehicles, automatic vehicle location, and associated land navigation systems for worldwide application.

In 1988 the company provided the first completely integrated Automatic Vehicle Location, Data Communication, Mapping and Information system to the Royal Oman Police in the Middle East covering Greater Muscat. This pioneering system continues in constant 24 hour use and had been further enhanced over the succeeding years.

Over the subsequent years Terrafix have researched, developed and provided a wide range of bespoke mobile computing and communication systems to the Emergency, Security and Commercial services worldwide. Subsequent systems have included further innovation features as the company has increased its involvement in both large command and control environments and in small specialist bespoke applications encompassing location, communication and man machine interface technologies.

Terrafix itself has grown with the relocation from Keele University Campus to Newfield Industrial Estate, where in addition to the offices it also has vehicle fitting bays, hardware and software laboratories and manufacturing facilities.
